I've living in the same rental place for almost 2 years. I have hornets that come and terrorize my wife every spring-fall. I can't get rid of them. I've sprayed them with ever imaginable pesticide.

I've been taken to taunt them out with the water hose and as they swarm towards me it give them a face-full of H2O and smash them under foot at they drop. Though this has been the most enjoyable of methods... it isn't very effective for long term.

if i could just get rid of them for one season that would be amazing..

I've heard of crumbling brown paper bags you get at the grocery store and hanging them up around the house so the hornets will feel intimidated and move to a less "crowded" area.

These hornets have made their home in the attic of the house (which i've never been into) and underneath the roof in certain spots around the edges of the house and gutters...
They like to peak out of the attic's circular vent and the front and back of the house... and I've also caught several trying to squeeze their arses through the cracks in the exhaust fan vents that lead into our bathroom... thankfully they just get stuck and die there... but still pretty terrifying while yer on the loo.
