I have friends who didn't go to Clemson who I'd consider even more avid fans than me and a lot of the alumni.

They all grew up as kids going to games. In the winter they study recruiting. In the summer they go to the beach and talk about the upcoming season.

Then, on Friday nights in the fall they play and watch high school football. On Saturday they watch college football. On away game weekends they drive to the away game.

I never went to a single college football game for the first 18 years of my life. I lived in NJ.
