Hey FTers,
I'm proud to announce the launch of my very first iPhone app - Advent08. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have if you're planning on developing your own.
Just curious on a couple of things with this. How are sales going? Are you marketing anywhere besides the iPhone store? Did you do it on your lonesome or have some help?
Hey Eric,
Thanks for asking :) It's going pretty well so far. We've sold probably about 130 or so units, not including today. We're also starting to get some press attention and we're working like mad to get the word out. I have one other pretty cool thing I hope to announce, but I'll keep y'all in suspense for a bit on that (I don't want to say too much too early).
One of my big idols, Hugh Hewitt, has graciously linked us on his blog. Sales are up to well over 200 as of last night, before Hugh's post, so we'll see how they take off today. :)
To Eric's question: No, the other two guys aren't local. In fact, none of us is in the same timezone (makes for interesting conf. calls) :) Scott is in St. Louis and Joe is in CA.
We are just shy of 750 as of last night's data. We also hooked up with a printing company that is well connected to a number of Christian organizations and who are very excited about the app!
That reminds me, for those who don't have an iPhone, we are making all of our content available each day in Advent, along with reflections from our Pastors, on our blog: tinyurl.com/adventblog
